Great Sights of Geneva

Lake Geneva is one of the main attractions of Geneva and the lake is central to this city chic. This is Europe’s largest alpine lake, and lots of attractions to keep you busy. Here’s your chance, a boat cruise on the lake, where all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the views.

The Lake Geneva area is a great place to walk, and the yacht-packed port of-the-spot fines to stop and rest. If you’re feeling peckish, the promenades along the left and right banks of the lake is full of cafes and street markets where you can taste some traditional foods.

The Bains des Paquis the western shore of the lake was a favorite of the company since its opening in 1932, and continues to draw visitors and local people. The saunas and swimming pools offer a unique authentic Swiss experience, a welcome amenity, and days after your feet.

If you visit the Old Town, then a trip to Saint Peter’s Cathedral is essential. Located on the Cour Saint-Pierre Cathedral towers over the Old Town of Geneva’s oldest and architectural treasure. The cathedral was started in 1160 and took more than 400 years to complete.

The north tower gives you a panoramic view of the city, while the basement houses the Archaeological Museum of artefacts dating back to 350 AD.

Geneva is not complete without a trip to visit the Center for the United Nations. The Art Deco building is accessible via guided tours, and unique insight into the inner workings of the world’s most important international organizations.

Last but not least, if you want to indulge in shopping, then the Rue du Rhone is the place to go. Luxury brands to independent shops and famous for having an impressive Nosy around, even if only for window shopping.
